Thank you for finding me and welcome to my website which was established in February 2018.

I am very fortunate to be based in the beautiful City Of York, UK, however, most of my photography is taken on my travels. 

My absolute go-to and my annual photography highlight is the Venice Carnival and I could possibly, now, regard myself as one of the many regular band of photographers in attendance each year. Venice captured my heart twenty five visits ago and it has never left, not the tourist Venice, but it's underbelly, neighbourhoods, colours, flavours and vibe.

We all try to develop our own unique photographic style  and if I was to briefly quantify mine, I would say:

f2.8, 70-200mm lens, differential focus, detail, pattern and abstract. I dabble with ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) where the subject lends itself.

I use my images to bring my travel locations to life. I want my photograph to convey peace, bustle, beauty, raw emotions, colours, tastes and textures.

I am probably the least technical person to handle a camera, but I like to believe that my creative, imaginative eye is my forte.  I use Lightroom in a similar way to driving a Ferrari around the block-but it works for me....

My kit bag holds a Fujifilm XT-2 and 3 lenses. I migrated from Canon a year ago, it has taken a while, but the XT-2 and I now work in (almost perfect) harmony...
